Samples should be taken according to soil type and crop variety distribution, with consideration for different soil fertility levels. Sampling points should be distributed in zigzag or snake patterns for uniform, random coverage. Sampling position and depth should be determined by cultivated layer thickness, typically at 0-20cm depth.
