Drilling Operation Technology
- Install proper casing to prevent hole collapse
- Begin with low-pressure slow rotation when lowering drilling tool; transition to normal drilling when resistance is minimal
- Maintain consistent drilling parameters during normal operation; avoid lifting drilling tools to prevent core blockage
- Lift drilling tool appropriately when core blockage is detected; if ineffective, lift immediately
- Reduce pump volume when coring in loose formations with small sand and gravel particles
- Maintain drilling parameters when encountering sand layers or small gravel; reduce pump volume as needed
- Drill additional 10cm into pebble layer after thin sand/mud layers; dry drill when sand layer is thick
- Monitor water supply system regularly; lift drill immediately if pump pressure increases suddenly
- Slowly lift and screw down drill rod during sampling in critical sections; remove drill bit before pouring core
