Dewatering Well Construction Technology
Well point measurement and positioning → hole digging and casing embedding → drilling rig in place → drilling → hoisting well pipe → back-filling filter material (coarse sand or gravel) between well pipe and hole wall → hole washing → drainage pump installation in well pipe with pumping control circuit → trial pumping → normal operation of well point → dewatering completion, pipe pulling → well sealing.
Why Water Well Drilling Rigs Are Not Suitable for Rainy Days
After well completion, pumping tests verify results. Under normal conditions, large drawdown pumping should maintain stable water levels for at least eight hours while measuring well flow. Drilling projects require proper site drainage, making rainy seasons unsuitable. During excavation, slope angles (typically 1:1.5) depend on soil properties, with adequate distance from spoil slopes to excavation openings. For wells with shaft wall water inflow, water inlet holes and inverted filter layers must meet design specifications, preventing blockage during construction. Filter material at aquifers requires proper enclosure with adequate backfill super elevation, with frozen soil content not exceeding 15% in winter backfill.
